Nobody ever told you this would be easy

I've said this to myself several times each day the closer I get to leaving for Lesotho. The more friends and family I have to hug and cry over, the more often I say this to myself. It helps, sometimes. I've moved out of my beautiful city of Bellingham, the first place I've ever felt was truly my home. I've said goodbye to my best friends, many of whom are getting married, some even having babies this next year. On the upside, I've had some fantastic hangovers to recover from and some of the most beautiful moments with the most important people in my life these last few weeks.

The work of shopping, packing, and arranging a two year absence has left me with a morbid feeling comparable to planning your own funeral. The stress associated with this has also put a damper on my sleeping and waking life. I will be very relieved to move away from this stage of preparation that I've been in for months and into something new.

Things left to accomplish:
-pack
-sleep
-drink some Polish vodka
-finish that summer tan
-forget to bring a bunch of shit
-Remember: Nobody ever told you this would be easy, Fuck It, This is the Best Day of your Life!

I love you all & I miss you sooo much already.
